Residents Against Flooding & Tankers (“RAFT”) was formed in March 2010 to apply pressure to the relevant organisations and authorities in order to resolve the long-standing problem of raw sewage regularly flooding into houses and gardens in Lower Cambourne.
RAFT has quickly established itself as an effective campaign force, and following a number of meetings involving residents, Anglian Water, South Cambs District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, and Cambourne Parish Council, there is now a schedule of works in place to diagnose and finally resolve the problem.
